Among the famous Black history American roll models who
impacted the entire world, we must certainly include an inspirational story
of faith and perserverance against all odds, the story of Madame C.
J Walker, one of the most famous black women inventors of all time.
Students will learn how an orphaned daughter of a poor black
sharecropper, newly freed after the Civil War, went from destitution
to becoming the first black woman millionaire in America. A testament
to the American ethic that it is possible for anyone to succeed,
regardless of the conditions in which they start their life.

"I am a teacher in Shreveport, LA. I am putting
together a program for Black History Month, and part
of that program will be the Madame C.J. Walker play
that I ordered from you. I found your site in a web
search; it popped up quickly.
Thanks so much for making it available for immediate
consumption. The kids are excited and can't wait to
begin practice.
Have a wonderful day, and thanks again,"
